Mayor’s Hope Fund Grants Available

ORGANISATIONS are being invited to apply for a grant from the Mayor’s Hope Fund – the charity established by Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson for poverty relief.

Since being launched in January 2014, more than £170,000 has been donated to more than 65 organisations.

In the latest funding round, the charity wants to support organisations helping to relieve poverty for the most disadvantaged and help them reach more people.

Mayor Anderson said: “The cuts we have seen in welfare spending have had a devastating effect on people who already live in poverty, and we know that there is even worse to come.

“The Mayor’s Hope Fund is our way of supporting those who are suffering most, enabling the organisations that support them to expand the fantastic services they provide.”
