Liverpool Zoe’s Place transforms to Little Lights as next chapter begins

LIVERPOOL ZOE’S PLACE has started its new chapter under the name Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice.

This comes as work begins on a state-of-the-art children’s hospice at Hayman’s Green in West Derby.

Liverpool Zoe’s Place was saved from closure by the generosity of people across Merseyside and the UK, in just 30 days in October 2024 and will now, as Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice, continue to serve the community it cares for.

The name Little Lights was chosen following the “Same Heart, Fresh Start” competition held last year, with the winning entry submitted by Amelia of St Paul’s Catholic Junior School in West Derby. The name was inspired by the idea that every child shines brightly and the new name reflects moments of light, hope and joy that the hospice helps create for families during the most challenging times.

Krol Corlett Construction have now started work on the new purpose-built hospice which will enable Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice to expand its reach and services, ensuring more children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions can access the care they need. The new facility at Hayman’s Green in West Derby will provide modern, specialist spaces designed around the needs of children and families, enabling the charity to grow its impact while continuing the legacy of Liverpool Zoe’s Place.

Barry Kushner, Project Manager at Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice said; “Little Lights is a name that truly reflects who we are and what we do. While our name is changing, our mission remains exactly the same, to be there for families when they need us most, providing care, comfort and moments of joy. When the new hospice is open, we will offer even more.”

Designed by Liverpool agency B&L Creative, the new brand identity reflects warmth, individuality and adaptability, designed to grow with the charity as it enters this new phase.
