Liverpool woman locked up for charity

LINDA Clarke from Liverpool’s Lumiere Charity has taken on the challenge to spend 48 hours in the renowned Shrewsbury jail.

The Charity was founded in February 2024, inspired by one family’s journey through the challenges of raising a child with a rare genetic condition. Lumiere is a community-led charity that supports children and young adults with disabilities across the region and beyond.

Founders Melissa and Linda work to raise funds and awareness of the work their charity does along with their one of a kind play centre which is specially designed for additional needs.

Last year fundraiser Linda walked from Liverpool to London whilst embarking on live challenges, she gained so much press attention and in return money was raised for the charity and they are hoping to reach a similar target with their next fundraising venture.

Shrewsbury prison is known as one of the most haunted prisons in the world and was historically where executions used to take place.

Linda will be live streaming her 48 hour lock in and viewers can watch challenges take place, along with any haunted encounters and join in the fun.

The event will be taking place on 21st July visit https://www.lumierecharity.org/lumi-lock-in to find out how you can be involved.
