THIS Christmas Derry Mathews Academy CIC is putting on the City’s largest ever free children’s Christmas party.
Derry Mathews CIC Family Christmas party for 300 children from across the city will take place on Saturday 17th December 2022 in the grand room at the Adelphi Hotel.
Coming off the back of the massive success of their free family fun day on the last day of the summer holidays which had over a thousand people in attendance. The fun day included wrestlers, bouncy castles, dual, go karts, music, food and much more provided a memorable day for all the children.
The team which include Mitchel Walsh director of Integritas Property group who has backed both events, Derry Mathews and Stephen Edgerton directors of Derry Mathews Academy CIC, Hayley Smitton director of Outside in Festival and Colin Dobie and Sharon Jazza in the Community are now taking on an even bigger project.
The day will include a panto, Christmas choir, Christmas characters, Santa, grotto, games, food, selection box and present for every single child in attendance.
Stephen Edgerton said: “The thought of any child waking up in Liverpool with no present has been the reason why the team are determent to put on this event. The fun day gave loads of kids an amazing summer holiday memory. To see them all smiling is a sight I will never forget.
“We are now taking on an even bigger project totally free, I know this City will rally behind us, wait till you see this event! All help no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.”
Help wanted!
The team want to create a Christmas wonderland for all children and a memorable day with Father Christmas.
The team would like your help with a toy appeal to help them give every child a present. You can drop boxed presents off at Derry’s Fit club, Marybone community centre, Fontenoy Street, L3 2BE or one of the team would be more than happy to come to your place of work to collect.
Any local businesses who which to make a donation can do so to Derry Mathews Academy CIC all proceeds will go towards providing an amazing experience to all the children in attendance.
