LIVERPOOL teppanyaki restaurant, Sapporo, has unveiled a new private dining and intimate event space.
Based on Japanese interior design with clean lines, natural palettes and minimalist style, Sapporo has created the additional space, catering for a further 25 guests, that’s fresh, open and contemporary.
Adjoining the space is also a newly refurbished relaxing lounge area seating 35.
The main restaurant, which opened in 2003 is home to 12 traditional teppanyaki tables where Sapporo’s chefs delight guests with live cooking, has been refurbished along with the creation of the conservatory area after £100,000 investment.
In line with the unveiling of the new conservatory, Sapporo has created a Happy Hour of 2-4-1 cocktails that guests can enjoy in the new space as well as £5 sushi rolls from Sunday to Thursday 5-7pm.
The new conservatory space has also enabled Sapporo to offer sushi making masterclasses for, with the knowledgeable chefs showing those taking part how to carefully craft authentic sushi.
Jesny Chong, General Manager at Sapporo, explained: “Celebrating 20 years in Liverpool was an outstanding achievement for us and with that marked a new era for Sapporo. We’re renowned for welcoming families, groups of friends and families and couples alike, and we wanted to create an additional, beautiful space that is relaxed, welcoming and offers our guests a different experience.
“From the light and airy feel of the new space, to the beautiful Japanese-style furnishings, it’s a true extension of Sapporo where guests can sip on our signature cocktail menu, or tuck into light bites including sushi and small plates, or where they can enjoy the full A La Carte experience.
“Seating 25, it’s the perfect space for private hire where guests can celebrate baby showers, intimate weddings, birthday celebrations, christenings and more. And we’ve just launched our first sushi masterclasses where those taking part can get a true sense of how our chefs handcraft Sapporo’s rolls and nigiri. We can’t wait to welcome you all.”
