300 seat café bar opens in Old Hall Street

RELISH- the independent Liverpool based and owned food and drink operator- has announced its expansion with the opening of a new food concept in The Capital Building.

Located on Old Hall Street, the new venue features a 300-seat capacity café bar offering an option for busy professionals and visitors.

The ‘Grab&Go’ menu features Relish’s signature Artisan sandwiches, baguettes and pastries, served up alongside a range of homemade cakes, light bites, healthy lunch options, breakfast bowls and pizza, all made daily in-house and available to enjoy with a range of hot or cold drinks including locally-brewed Neighbourhood Coffee.

Open Monday to Friday, Relish at The Capital Building has also been granted an alcohol license to give customers the opportunity to wind down after the working day, being able to reserve space and enjoy a local Love Lane Brewery pint or glass of wine.

Marking the latest chapter in the company’s expansion, the new opening comes after Relish took over operations at The Venue at The Royal Liver Building in 2021, which now sees them offer catering services for all the building’s events, as well as running the public Royal Liver Building Café Bar located in the atrium of the iconic landmark.

Chris Foulkes & Kiara Mako, owners/directors of Relish said: “The opening of Relish inside The Capital Building is a significant milestone for us, and we’re excited to bring our unique brand to this iconic venue, particularly as it marks the launch of our Grab&Go offering. We believe that our passion for fresh food and local ingredients combined with our focus on convenience and quality will resonate with the tenants and the wider customer base of The Capital Building alike, and we’re looking forward to making many more memories here.

Natasha Baker, senior building manager at The Capital Building, said: “Relish welcome everyone with a smile and it’s fantastic to see the newly refurbished cafe and meeting area come to life. I look forward to working with Chris, Kiara, and all the Relish team as they settle in and evolve with the building.”
