Liverpool stars shine in Northern Power Women shortlist

TRAILBLAZERS from sectors including media, tech, finance, charity and academia have been shortlisted for the Northern Power Women Awards 2022 sponsored by EY.

With a near two-year gap between the last round of nominations this year’s awards saw 1400 role models nominated. Whittling down the nominations to just 83 individuals and organisations was a mammoth task for the 72 judges who discussed, debated and ultimately decided who would be put through to the shortlist.

People from across the Liverpool City Region have been spotlighted in the 2022 shortlist including leading technology company CNC Robotics in the Innovation category and Natalie Kenny, CEO of BioGrad trailblazing on stem cell treatment and Monica Mwanje, founder of MM Creative Solutions Limited who is smashing stereotypes in the nuclear industry.

Ann-Marie Atkins, Managing Partner at Tilney Smith and Williamson is shortlisted for the Transformational Leader category after being included on Power List in 2020 and Debbie Rogers is a finalist in One to Watch for setting up Sean’s Place in memory of her brother supporting suicide prevention.

Jennifer Greenan is shortlisted for Person with Purpose for her work in the energy secto whilst serial mentor Ali McGrath is shortlisted for being ‘an absolute shero and stalwart supporting the Entrepreneur Business clinic at the central library’.

Alison Kay, Managing Partner for Client Service at EY, UK and Ireland, commented: “A huge congratulations to all the nominees, who are shortlisted for the Northern Power Women Awards 2022. We saw first-hand, throughout the judging process, just how high the calibre of nominations were this year; reaching this shortlist is a huge achievement. The winners of the Northern Power Women Awards will be announced on the 21st of March 2022 at a gala awards night and dinner at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
The Power List and Future List will be announced on 8th February at 11am.
