POPULAR DJ Craig Charles best known for his modern remixes and unusual cover versions of funk and and Northern Soul music and The Real Thing will take to the Knowsley Social stage in June.
The DJ and the Liverpool soul group, who hit the top of the charts with the anthem ‘You To Me Are Everything’, will be the first major act to perform at the festival after national lockdown restrictions are lifted.
The Knowsley Social is running across nine weeks in the grounds of the Knowsley Estate offering a packed programme of amazing entertainment and big nights out in a big top tent comprising 200 pods for six people.
M People’s Heather Small, The Shapeshifters, Sam Divine, FIVE, 911, S Club and Ibiza Philharmonic Orchestra are among the other big name acts to take place at the festival.
Danny Thompson, co-founder of the Knowsley Social, said: “We are delighted to announce details of Craig Charles and The Real Thing for the Knowsley Social’s soul takeover. Craig is a much loved DJ and will be playing a range of smash hit soul classics to get people in the party mood after the lifting of lockdown restrictions.”
