Some of the holiday clubs will also be providing free nutritious snacks and lunches and ALL will be following Government guidance on the preventing the spread of Covid19.
Racheal Jones, Chief Executive Officer, One Knowsley said: “It’s fantastic to see how Knowsley’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector have come together to create this summer holiday programme of activities. Throughout the pandemic these organisations have worked hard to support the borough’s most vulnerable residents and their continued support is inspirational.”
Cllr Margaret Harvey, Knowsley Council’s Children’s Services Cabinet Member, said: “The coronavirus pandemic has been a huge challenge for all of us, not least on families. While we continue to urge Knowsley to remain cautious and safe, I’m delighted that organisations across Knowsley have come together to help lift the spirits and create a fun filled summer.
“The summer holidays always present a challenge for families so it is great that these activities are free of charge and significantly a number also offer nutritious meals – easing the pressure on families even more.”
