Winter Ales Festival returns to St George’s Hall

RETURNING to Liverpool’s St George’s Hall  from 31 January – 2 February, the Winter Ales Festival will host up to 200 real ales and ciders along with the popular indoor Gin Garden.

Real Ale Events are the organisers behind the festival, and it will be the 6th year they have hosted it seeing over 4000 beer aficionados and real ale newbies walking through the door, with the same expected this time around, and ticket sales are already flying in.

The Winter Ales Festival sources beers from breweries not commonly seen in Merseyside. Their dedicated Beer Coordinator scours the country for high quality ales from the very best producers, offering a range of stouts, porters, IPA’s and wheat beers. Alongside the traditional beers, there are exciting brews from up and coming experimental breweries, such as chocolate and habanero chilli stout, mango fever IPA and activated charcoal porter.

If you fancy mixing it up a little, there is a diverse cider offering keeping up with the surge in demand for fruity and unusual ciders (Whisky cask and rhubarb flavours are always a fave). There remains a love for the traditional cloudy apple ciders and crisp perries that will also make an appearance in the festival line up.

The indoor gin garden is also serving a range of fruity and unusual gins with accompanying garnish and flavoured tonic. To warm the cockles, they will also be serving delicious gin hot toddies, alongside the usual high-end range of spirits, wines and prosecco.

You can upgrade your ticket to the VIP experience, which includes unlimited real ales and ciders, a reserved table on the stage in the Great Hall overseeing all the action. You can then finish your night with a single spirit and mixer.

Events Director, Katie Jones, says, “At Real Ale Events we pride ourselves on creating memorable events for couples, groups or the lone aficionado. All our customers have excellent taste and so this pushes us to find the very best drinks around for them to enjoy in this unique location. It’s not your average night out that’s for sure!”

The event will run over 5 sessions from Thursday 31 January to Saturday 2 February. Tickets start from £7.56, including a souvenir half pint glass and programme to take away.
