Hospice hosts Race Night at Crosby Comrades

ST. JOSEPH’S Hospice is holding a Race Night on Friday 5th October at Crosby Comrades Club.

Tickets are now on sale at just £10, which includes a hot buffet and a disco. A cash bar will also be available on the night.

During the evening, eight horse races will be shown and everyone will get the chance to place a small bet of just £2 per horse. There will be a winner for each race and part of the proceeds will go to the winners and the rest will go to St Joseph’s Hospice.

Julie McAdam, senior community fundraiser at the hospice, said: “If you haven’t been to a Race Night before, we can promise you a really fun night out. Plus you can help us to raise vital funds for the hospice.

“Fundraising is increasingly important for the hospice, as our costs increase every year, but all the care we provide is free to patients. The hospice provides personalised palliative care, complementary therapy and bereavement counselling to over 200 patients from across Merseyside every year and so events like this make a huge difference to the care and support we can provide.”
