TOP TV chef Raymond Blanc OBE led the celebrations at Liverpool Food and Drink Festival during the weekend (15-16 September) as thousands flocked to Sefton Park for a gigantic feast. He was joined by a host of high profile chefs including Ellis Barrie, Anton Piotrowski, Gary Usher and Chelsea Campbell.
The pop-up event, which is now in its eleventh year, was brimming with tasty treats from local restaurants, producers and international street food stalls. The weekend was also jam-packed with cookery demonstrations and masterclasses, as well as live music and family entertainment.
Raymond Blanc OBE, who entertained the crowds at the festival’s Celebrity Chef Demo Theatre, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Liverpool Food and Drink Festival. Everyone was so welcoming and I couldn’t have asked for a better audience during my demonstrations.
“It was truly wonderful to meet so many people of all different ages who clearly have a passion for good food and home cooking.”
Isabella Kantor, Liverpool Food and Drink Festival Manager, said: “The atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to see so many people enjoying the event.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to all the fabulous chefs who took part, as well as the restaurants, bars, street food stalls and producers who helped to make the event such a huge success. We’re looking forward to returning in the spring with our next big food event.”
