THERE’S just three weeks left for Liverpool city-region’s Independent businesses to vie for their moment in the spotlight, as the deadline for the Merseyside Independent Business Awards nears.
Organised by Morecrofts Solicitors and supported by headline sponsor Liverpool BID Company, the Merseyside Independent Business Awards are now in their sixth year and celebrate the talents of small business owners and entrepreneurs, and the contribution the independent business community makes to the regional economy.
The deadline to enter this year’s awards is Friday August 31st and details of all 13 categories can be found at www.mibawards.co.uk as well as top tips on how to write a compelling award submission.
Each award winner will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Liverpool’s Rum Warehouse on Thursday 18 October. The overall Merseyside Independent Business of the Year will also be revealed on the night, with the winner receiving a business support package worth £5,000.
Alison Lobb, Managing Partner of Morecrofts said: “The MIB Awards have become a real highlight in the events calendar because they reach out to those areas of the regional business community that are often untouched by other awards ceremonies. Businesses of all shapes and sizes are doing some amazing things across the Liverpool city region and we really think they deserve greater recognition.
“Each year the volume of entries grows and this year is certainly no exception. There’s just three weeks until the deadline and we’d urge all those thinking about entering to make this year, the year they do!
“Previous winners have been Claremont Farm’s shop, butchers’ counter and cafe, Spanish deli, bar and restaurant Lunya, Matta’s international food store, Constellations bar and event space and innovative waste treatment firm Inciner8, and we’re excited to see which other businesses will join the MIB winners gallery this year.”
