IT’S finally here and today Good News Liverpool was at Croxteth Park for the first day of the CBBC Summer Social. It is the BBC’s biggest ever kids event, and the only festival to offer 6-12 year olds (and their families) a unique line-up of CBBC and CBeebies favourites alongside a host of international music artists.

Despite the cloudy weather Liverpool families turned out in their numbers to see the live musical performances which included, Andy and the Odd Socks, Junior Frood, Mr Tumble,Kidz Bop and the Merseygirls from the XFactor. Also appearing were New Hope Club, Johnny Orlando and The Next Step.

There is a CBeebies Village packed with enticing activities and performances, revellers can also enjoy imaginative and immersive activity zones, theatre shows and creative workshops as well as character walkabouts, vlogger meet and greets, live appearances from the most popular children’s authors and much more.

The event continues over the weekend so if you can get along to beautiful Croxteth Country Park make it a top of the activity list for all the family.
