TO mark the first visit to Liverpool in 2018 of luxury liner MS Queen Victoria, Mersey Ferries is running a special day of River Explorer Cruises to give people a truly unique view of the stunning Cunard vessel from the River Mersey.
The special cruises, held on May 22, will give passengers a chance to view the magnificent MS Queen Victoria up close from the deck of a Mersey Ferry. The 964ft-long vessel was launched in 2007 and features seven restaurants, thirteen bars, three swimming pools, a ballroom, and a theatre.
Gary Evans from Mersey Ferries said of the visit: “There’s a wonderful sense of occasion on the city’s waterfront when the world-famous Cunard liners dock at the Liverpool Cruise Liner terminal.
“We understand how much people of the North West enjoy seeing these incredible vessels and taking in the breath-taking views they provide, so we have introduced the special River Explorer Cruises to give fans a completely different, up close look. These are really popular with our passengers and you get a real sense of size when alongside a Cunard Liner on the river.”
The River Explorer Cruise also allows passengers the chance to visit the U-boat Story at Woodside and the interactive Spaceport attraction in Seacombe; which is currently hosting the popular “Sci-Fi Icons” exhibition.
A Family River Explorer Ticket is priced at £25 and is available for two adults and up to three children (ages five to 15). The offer must be purchased online at least one day before a visit. Purchased on the day, adult tickets for the River Explorer Cruise are priced at £10.
