THE Studio School is hosting the first of five open evenings next week in preparation for next year’s academic calendar, and prospective year 10 and year 12 students are encouraged to attend the event to explore the school’s innovative facilities, find out what life is like at The Studio, and to get a taster of not just the array of subjects, but also its new Digital Entrepreneurs Network (DEN) programme
The DEN programme, funded by the EDGE Foundation – an independent education charity dedicated to raising the status of technical and professional education, aims to help students build commercial acumen by teaching them how to conceive, design, plan, develop and launch digital products, and this will provide an interactive introduction to the school on the open evenings.
Edna Carey who is head of the Den programme said, “We’re delighted to be running the Den programme in the school, which helps teach our students to be creators, not consumers, and we feel the open evening is a perfect opportunity for potential students who are thinking about attending The Studio to get a taste of what is on offer here.”
Based in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, which is the second fastest growing digital hub in the UK outside of London, The Studio is leading the way for student careers in the emerging sectors of the digital economy by offering digital pathway options such as coding, creativity and entrepreneurship that sit alongside the KS4 and KS5 curriculum.
The Studio School will be open to prospective year 10 and year 12 students on Thursday, November 16, from 5pm to 7pm, where prospective pupils and their parents will get a taste of what the school has to offer.
Interested potential students are invited to book a ticket through Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-studio-open-evening-den-taster-tickets-39686792264 and take their parents/carers/family members along with them on the evening.
