GOOD News Liverpool has been shortlisted in the prestigious 02 Media Awards for our community journalism.
The awards, which see entries from all over the north west will be presented in Manchester on November 9.
Good News Liverpool editor, Rebecca Keegan, said: “The main focus of Good News Liverpool since it’s conception in 2015 has been communities.
“The team on the newspaper work tirelessly to bring the positive news from communities into the spotlight, and cut through the negativity which is far too often dramatised in an unfair way for cheap headlines and click bait.
“To be shortlisted in an awards of the calibre of the 02 Media Awards is very exciting and shows the quality of publishing Good News Liverpool delivers.”
Nicola Green, Director of Corporate Affairs at O2 said: “The volume and standard of entries this year has been unprecedented. Judges had the monumental task of selecting a shortlist from hundreds of exceptional portfolios. We want to thank all those, who by entering the competition each year, continue to make an O2 Award so highly prized in the media industry. We look forward to announcing the best of the best at the awards night in Manchester.”
