MIB Awards ceremony sells out in advance

TICKETS have now sold out for this year’s Merseyside Independent Business Awards ceremony.

The event takes place at the Rum Warehouse in Liverpool on Thursday 12 October and is expected to welcome 500 dinner guests.

This year’s event attracted a record number of entries and the winners will be announced across 14 categories, including start-up, digital, retail and trades & manufacturing, as well as the overall Merseyside Independent Business of the Year.

Organised by Morecrofts Solicitors and headline sponsored by Liverpool BID Company, the awards shine a spotlight on the region’s independent business community and its contribution to the local economy.

Alison Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts Solicitors, said: “The MIB Awards are now in their fifth year and it’s extremely humbling to see tickets for the ceremony sell out in advance.

“There is such an appetite among all parts of the business community to celebrate the achievements of our independent sector. It never fails to amaze me.

“We are so proud of the awards and we tip our hats to all of the nominees, winners, sponsors and support organisations who combine to make it such a huge success.”

Tony Reed, head of sales at Bruntwood, which sponsors the best start-up category, said: “The MIB Awards stand out for their authenticity and their acknowledgement of what makes our regional economy tick.

“The innovation and ambition of independent businesses are crucial to our ongoing prosperity, so it’s vital that we showcase and support them as much as we possibly can.”
