Cook breakfast for your mates and help feed Liverpool’s homeless

THE Whitechapel Centre is launching their second Big Boss Brekkie Week this summer in a bid to help end homelessness in Liverpool. The charity wants everyone in Merseyside to get together with their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to enjoy a Big Boss Brekkie this June and raise funds for their work supporting homeless people. Big Boss Brekkie Week will be held June 19 – 25. Local restaurants are also invited to give their support by creating a special breakfast dish or give a share of their profits to the charity. Charlotte Hopkins, Community & Events Fundraiser, said: “It’s easy for anyone to get involved to raise money for the charity – you could buy a round of bacon butties at work or invite friends round for Sunday brunch and ask for donations or sell toast at school at Breakfast Club. We’ll give you everything you need to host a Big Boss Brekkie – posters, invites and recipe ideas! “Whatever you raise will make a big difference to the work that The Whitechapel Centre does. “The Whitechapel Centre provides breakfast for 8500 rough sleepers every year. Every £5 that is raised can pay for cooked breakfast for ten rough sleepers.” To find out how you can host your own Big Boss Brekkie go to http://www.whitechapelcentre.co.uk/bigbossbrekkie or email fundraising@whitechapelcentre.co.uk
