LIVERPOOL FC and credit card providers MBNA are broadening their long-standing relationship by creating new product offers and special moments for the club’s fans. MBNA is celebrating the army of Liverpool FC fans who support their club, day in day out, with competitions, prizes, events, offers, the opportunity to meet club legends, and even the chance to “Face The Kop” at Anfield. MBNA has issued the Liverpool FC credit card for almost two decades, and the renewed relationship will see MBNA now become Official Partner of Liverpool Football Club in the UK. To celebrate, MBNA is presenting “Face The Kop” where supporters of clubs across the UK can win the opportunity play on the Anfield pitch. “We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with MBNA over the last 19 years and are delighted to extend that partnership into its third decade. We are also thrilled to be broadening the relationship and welcome them as an Official Partner; it is fantastic to partner with a brand that is located in the North West of England and has a deep-rooted sporting heritage.” said Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC. James Poole, Strategy and Innovation executive at MBNA added: “We’re using our special connection with Liverpool FC and its legendary supporter base to provide a valuable programme of benefits that make good stuff happen for the real fans of the game.” A short film has been released via MBNA’s social media pages to launch the prize draw. It features appearances from Sadio Mané, Joël Matip and Philippe Coutinho, as well as Liverpool legend Ian Rush. The players encourage fans of all clubs to dream big and ask themselves: ‘What if I got to play in front of the Kop?’ Poole continued: “Through the MBNA relationship with Liverpool FC, Face The Kop is an exclusive opportunity for fans to experience a special moment, playing on the iconic Anfield pitch.” The prize draw is open to entries from fans of all clubs – home and away – and closes at 23.59pm 11 May 2017, when eight home team fans and seven away team fans (two tickets per person) will be chosen at random.
