MORECROFTS Solicitors has been shortlisted in a record-breaking nine categories for this year’s Liverpool Law Society Awards. The firm has made the final cut in all of the categories for which it was nominated, including Private Client, Commercial, Property, Employment and Family Law, as well as Medium Law Firm of the Year. Managing partner Alison Lobb has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Contribution to the Law category, while solicitor Carly Philp is in the running for Junior Lawyer of the Year. Morecrofts, which is one of Merseyside’s longest established independent law firms and has five offices across the region, is also in contention for the Work in the Community award. This is the first time that any firm has been shortlisted in nine of the 14 categories at the Liverpool Law Society Awards. This year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Rum Warehouse on Friday 12 May. Alison Lobb said: “The Liverpool Law Society Awards are the pinnacle for any firm practising law in the region as they offer a clear, unbiased guide to the very best lawyers in each area of specialism. “We are humbled to have been shortlisted in so many categories alongside so many other respected law firms and this achievement is an endorsement of our entire team at Morecrofts. “The awards ceremony should be a wonderful showcase of everything that is good about Merseyside’s legal services sector and we will certainly have our fingers crossed for a few wins on the night.”
