POSSIBLE future stars will be given the chance to audition for the X Factor when the auditions come to the city next week. Auditions for the singing contest will take place each day from Thursday, April 27 to Sunday, April 30, at St Johns Shopping Centre, in Liverpool City Centre. No registration is required, however due to high demand, hopefuls are advised to arrive early to secure a slot in the famous booth – as the Mobile Auditions are on a first come first served basis. Auditions will take place in the unit next to Home Bargains from 9am-6pm each day except Sunday, when they will take place between 11am-5pm, on the First Floor of the centre. St Johns Shopping Centre Manager, Robert Bradley said: “After the huge success of the auditions last year and Britains Got Talent coming in to hold their auditions over the winter – we know next week will be very busy for the X Factor producers! “We’re proud to become a hub for local musical talent for events like this and we want to wish all of the participants lots of luck and success next week.” Liverpool has a famous alumni from the ITV hit show including Rebecca Ferguson, Ray Quinn and Marcus Collins – who all wowed Simon Cowell during their time in front of the various judging panels. Upon a successful audition at St Johns Shopping Centre, contestants will then be given the chance to auditions in front the X Factors judges this summer. Applicants to the process must be 16 or over to audition and it’s essential that they are accompanied by a parent or guardian if under the age of 18. Contestants must bring photo ID and anybody wishing to audition who is in full-time education must attend after 4.30pm.
