Open House Invites People To Find Out More About Everyman Company

ON Saturday 28 January, people will get the chance to find out more about the performers, plays and behind the scenes plans for the Everyman Company season. The Hope Street theatre will be opening its doors to give a unique opportunity for people to see how their plans are shaping up with cast, writer and director Q&As, music, backstage tours and interactive activities.

The Company, a mix of local voices, renowned performers and emerging talent, will be appearing in five productions at the Everyman until July. The Open House will allow people to see how work is created, ask questions and take part.

There will be a chance to chat to the actors, share lunch with the whole team in the bistro and meet with members of the theatres’ community groups.

Rehearsals will also be opened up with a chance to see Fiddler on the Roof in full song. The Conquest of the South Pole will bring rehearsals to the Theatre Bar. There’ll also be music from Lizzie Nunnery’s The Sum and a chance to hear from The Story Giant author Brian Patten.

Paddy Hughes, who runs the successful open mic poetry night A Lovely Word, will be hosting a special Platform event. There will be a fun treasure hunt for younger audiences along with live music from a variety of artists.

The Open House at the Everyman runs from Midday to 5pm with activities happening all around the building throughout the day.

Artistic Director Gemma Bodinetz said: “By having a Rep Company we’re creating a family. We want the open day to create a conversation between our artists and our audiences.”
