Interserve Sets Up New Home In Liverpool

INTERSERVE is creating more than 50 new jobs in Merseyside.

This week the company opened an office in Liverpool’s iconic Cunard building, a move which resulted in the job creation.

It takes the number of people that the company employs in the region to nearly 400, delivering services across a wide range of sectors including probation, construction and healthcare.

Interserve is a support services and construction company having worked on a number of Merseyside projects including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, the University of Liverpool, HMP Liverpool, Liverpool Magistrate’s Court and St Helen’s College.

The company is now more involved in public-facing work including supervising offenders to reduce re-offending, providing healthcare to people in their homes and running apprenticeships aimed at getting people into work.

The launch event was supported by the High Sheriff of Liverpool Jim Davies and representatives from organisations across the justice, charitable and public sectors.

Tim Haywood, Interserve’s finance director, said: “Interserve has a proud history and deep roots in Liverpool and employs 400 people in the city across nearly 100 sites.

“It has a long history of making communities better and valuing more than just money and is looking at how we change people’s lives for the better.

“We have a new home in the Cunard, it’s a wonderful space and I am delighted that we are providing employment, working with communities and developing our services in Merseyside.”
