ONE of the city’s most iconic and architecturally stunning quarters has been turned into GradFest for the week. Restaurant, 60 Hope Street, held an evening reception yesterday for city dignitaries and stakeholders led by a delegation from the Mayor’s office, LJMU and the Liverpool Philharmonic. And on Hope Street itself, restaurants are serving up street food & cocktails with pop-up restaurants and bars dotted around the area. Co-owner of 60 Hope Street Colin Manning said: “We’re delighted to announce our involvement in The Hope Street Graduation Event that’s been dubbed GradFest which takes place all week and is being delivered by SK Events. “Thousands of students together with their families and friends are attending this special LJMU event to celebrate their achievements as the class of 2016.” Guests are being offered special discounts in more than 30 restaurants and bars within the vicinity with Hope Street closed for traffic until 8 PM each evening.
