ENTRIES for the Merseyside independent Business Awards close next week and organisers are urging businesses to get involved.The glittering awards ceremony, which takes place in September at the Rum Warehouse in Liverpool is the fourth annual event.Businesses are crowned winners in 13 categories which are;Best Place to StayBest Place to DineBest Independent RetailerIndependent Culture and Tourism Business of the YearMIB logoBeauty and Cosmetic Business of the YearTrade, manufacturing and Engineering Business of the YearBest Creative BusinessThe Community AwardBest Start-Up BusinessIndependent Business Person of the YearProfessional Services Business of the YearIndependent Employer of the YearBest Digital and Technology BusinessThere will be a winner of winners on the night – claiming a £10,000 business package and the title of Independent Business of the Year.The awards are organised and presented by Morecrofts Solicitors, who launched the event in 2013 to mark their 200th year in business as an independent.Managing Partner Alison Lobb said: “Each year the Independent Business Awards grow with lots of outstanding entries.“It’s fantastic to have a platform in the Liverpool City Region which is strictly for our independent businesses to celebrate and be recognised for their achievements.”Entry forms must be submitted by Friday July 22.
