Up To £10,000 Could Be Up For Grabs For Liverpool’s Budding Inventors

LOCAL timber and builders’ merchant Travis Perkins, based on Sandhills Lane, is enticing budding inventors of any age in Liverpool to share their innovative construction or DIY product ideas by the 30th June. The ‘Travis Perkins Innovation Awards’, organised by the Innovate team at Travis Perkins plc, has been launched for the first time this year. Successful entrants could be offered up to £10,000 of funding or a product trial at the FTSE100 distributor’s network of Travis Perkins branches. Chris Billington, Branch Manager at Travis Perkins Liverpool, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for absolutely anyone to develop a new business, and could even see their product idea on the shelves of Travis Perkins branches like ours in Liverpool. It would be fantastic to have a winner from Liverpool, so I can’t urge our community to get involved enough.” The closing date for entries to the first ever TPIA is 30th June 2016.
