OUR friends at Independent Liverpool are throwing a party tomorrow night in aid of the Hillsborough legal campaign and local children’s hospice Zoe’s Place. Independent Liverpool said: “As a celebration and a way to raise some funds to help with the ongoing legal battle, join us on the 30th April for a late night party full of live music, food and drink to raise vital funds for some amazing local causes. It’s all kicking off at around 5pm at New Bird Street Warehouse and will go on until 2am. Join us in the gin garden to raise a glass to the 96 and we’ll be putting on some live bands and local DJ’s. As well as that, we’ve got Asian street food from Pao!, Cuban eats from Finca and glorious hot dogs from Meet Frank. “Whilst the party plans to be a lot of fun, the reason behind doing is also very serious. All profits made from the party will be split between Zoe’s Place and the Hillsborough Justice Campaign. After the incredible verdict, we all need a dance and a drink to celebrate but the funds will be vital for the future of prosecution. Zoe’s hospices provide wonderful ‘home from home’ environments for babies and infants aged from birth to five years old who have life limiting or life threatening conditions. Both are amazing and need our support all year round but we hope this one night can have a huge effect.” We think this deserves our support.
