Liverpool ONE Celebrates Welcoming 200 Millionth Customer

LIVERPOOL’S flagship retail and leisure destination, Liverpool ONE, is celebrating a major milestone – the arrival of its 200-millionth customer.

And as this important historical landmark is reached, Liverpool ONE, which opened in May 2008, is continuing to report an increase in customer spend across both retail and leisure. More than 28-million people have visited during last year alone, and spent 8.5% more than the previous year. Liverpool ONE believes its success is attributed to the range of leading retail and dining brands which have chosen to open or increase the size of their stores together with the unique environment created in the heart of this historical city. Victoria’s Secret is due to open in the next few months and Roxy Ball Room, The Club House, Busaba Eathai and Turtle Bay have all opened since the start of the year. On reaching the 200-millionth milestone today Rachel Newman and her one year old son, George, were chosen to win a selection of Easter treats and £200 Liverpool ONE gift card, presented by Liverpool ONE Estate Director, Chris Bliss. Rachel, from Crosby, said: “As a family we regularly choose Liverpool ONE to shop or eat. Everything is here which we need and we find it easy to get to on the train. “It feels like every time we visit, there’s something new at Liverpool ONE – lots to keep the children entertained – new shops and a lots of places to choose from to eat. “Personally I love shopping and it’s nice that George can go up on to Chavasse Park and take part in the activities there which seem to change all of the time.” Mr Bliss added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Rachel as our two hundred millionth customer. “Our aim is to continually provide something new and different for our visitors so it’s great to hear what Rachel and George have enjoyed here and why, like so many other people, they keep coming back. “We are delighted with the range of exciting brands which have chosen to invest at Liverpool ONE and these have certainly had an impact in helping us to reach this incredible milestone so quickly.”
