Sefton’s Be Active Returns For Easter

THE popular school holiday programme, Be Active, run by Sefton Council, returns this half term with egg hunts and a host of activities for youngsters. Ensuring that Sefton’s young residents get a healthy dose of outdoor fun during the most chocolate-filled holiday of them all, the Active Sefton team have designed a Be Active programme that offers something for everyone! The Easter Egg’stravaganza will see children take part in a number of enjoyable and challenging activities, such as obstacle courses, adventure games and dodgeball. For the aspiring dancers, Sefton Council’s in-house dance expert, Wendy, will be providing workshops covering choreographed routines from the West End musicals, Matilda and Shrek. While mini reds and blues, inspired by Liverpool’s most recent trip to Wembley and Everton’s FA Cup quest, can learn can learn new skills and emulate their heroes at the Football Academy. There is also a chance for youngsters to try their hand at some water-based adventure activities including raft building and bell boating at the Lakeside Adventure days. Discounted Swim and Splash sessions also return.
