Fans Of ‘Friends’ Shouldn’t Miss This Family Show

FANS of TV show Friends should enjoy Rapunzel, a new family show from the makers of the hit sitcom, which is in Knowsley on April 9. If you were once gripped to the fortunes of Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Monica on Channel 4’s Friends sitcom you might just recognise some of the humour in family show Rapunzel, which is at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park on Saturday April 9 at 2.30pm. That’s because the show is the brainchild of Friends co-creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman. Rapunzel is a familiar story but with a twist – and it’s coming to Knowsley as part of its UK premiere tour. Of course, you can expect the long-haired princess being locked in a tower, in need of rescue by a daring prince. But, as you’d expect from the team behind such an enduring comedy as Friends, this show is bursting with humour and unexpected twists. Presented by Immersion Theatre, Rapunzel is a witty, tongue-in-cheek tale of a possessive mother who happens to be a witch, a tentative young man who happens to be a prince and a strong-willed but naïve young girl with the longest hair you’re ever likely to come across. If you haven’t yet booked your tickets they are available online, priced £10 for adults and £8 for children and concessions or £34 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children). You can also book by calling 0151 443 2200 or in person at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park, Longview Drive, Huyton, L36 6EG.
