Entries Open For Region’s Top Cycling Event

KEEN cyclists, thrill seekers and fun lovers are being encouraged to sign up early for the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool bike ride.

Returning for its 23rd year, this unique event has courses aimed at all age groups and all cycling abilities.

Each participant can choose their own route ranging from a Five Miles Family Tunnel to the 100 Mile Liverpool Challenge, with each route taking in some of the North West’s top attractions and picturesque landscapes.

Event organisers, Pennine Events, are expecting that 2016 will be the biggest yet with more than 4,000 people expected to take part. Local children’s hospice, Claire House, returns as the chosen charity for the 5th consecutive year.

Mandy Parkinson at Pennine Events, said: “If anyone is looking for an excuse to dust off your bike and get back in the saddle then this is the time to do it.

“Cycling is such a fantastic sport to take part in. Not only is it a great form of exercise but also very sociable too and a great way of meeting new friends. We look forward to welcoming all new and returning cyclists.”

Places for the event, which will take place on Sunday July 3rd, are already being booked so to avoid disappointment, organisers are advising people to sign up now and take full advantage of the Early Bird offers currently available.
